Job description
The Finance Application Architect plays a key role in driving customers business transformation journey to the Intelligent Enterprise through the adoption of SAP Intelligent Suite S/4HANA as well as latest cloud native innovative solutions in Finance and Controlling spectrum.
This covers the complete lifecycle from discovery to realization phase: the architect can act as design authority in defining the best approach and applications to cope with customer business strategy and requirements, deliver related solutions and support customers along their implementations.
The architect facilitates the implementation and support of SAP Financial Solutions to enhance clients’ business functionality/ performance and drive value creation, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction working with clients, SAP colleagues and/or partners.
In this role, you will:
- Define tailored Finance solution roadmaps in line with customers context, expectations, business strategy and opportunities
- Drive S/4HANA Discovery Workshop
- Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews for optimization opportunities,
- Perform Quality assurance and Advisory Services in the finance area on our customer projects,
- Analyze and map clients’ business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary strategies ‘to satisfy clients’ needs.
- Contribute in the preparation, conceptualization, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects
- Act as team lead in implementation projects
- Assist in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans; acting as liaison with client for troubleshooting (investigates, analyses, and solves software problems)
- Define and deliver detailed blueprint for solution configurations and development requirements
- Act as Subject Matter Expert to address specific customer pain points and issues,
- Be involved in pre-sales activities for new customers,
- Keep customer satisfaction levels high by providing timely services to customers with proper communication mechanisms;
- Handle multiple activities at any point of time;
- Have a good functional understanding of the products and integrations and help the stakeholders in corresponding activities;
- Willingness to travel where required.
Qualifications
Your background
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, and a minimum of seven years’ progressive experience,
- A minimum of 8 years SAP consulting experience with a proven record of at least 5 years in Finance,
- Multiple end to end implementation projects in senior/team lead Finance role,
- Strong knowledge of Financial/Managerial accounting and reporting processes and how to apply best practices,
- Experience in defining Financial systems architectures: on premise vs cloud,
- Expertise in the configuration and implementation of Financial SAP Solutions,
- Overall knowledge of SAP Finance solutions and the integration with other functional areas,
- Experience with S/4HANA Finance and the Activate implementation methodology is a welcome asset,
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels within customer organization/team,
- A curious and innovative mindset
- A good combination of Analytical mindset, conceptual approach and knowledgeable in specific solution details.
- Open-minded with good presentation and communication skills;
- Smooth friendly personality, both towards customers and colleagues.

- Dutch is your mother tongue, but you also master English very well.
